Q4/2022 Wrap-up: Another powerful year together

Here we are, with the last quarterly wrap-up of 2022, which was both a rewarding & a beautiful year for us! 🙌 We got to enjoy many face-to-face events (with a hybrid setup as well) and had diverse and captivating projects to work on. We were so happy to end the year in such a cheerful and meaningful way!

Projects we helped develop 🧑‍💻

Let's remember our mission, which is that of developing Powerful Web & Mobile Apps start-to-end. Along with our core values, it beautifully connects with everything we do at Wolfpack Digital. 

Here are some of the projects we added to our extended portfolio in Q4:

BrainCapture - brings accessible EEG scans in low-resource settings through a mobile app that connects via Bluetooth to an amplifier connected to an EEG cap.

Citizen Mint - offers access to assets that solve our planet's biggest challenges by providing a platform for various impactful investment opportunities.

Extra Karte - is a mobile app for the owners of the Extra Karte credit card, allowing them to control their card, transactions, and account details.

ReActive - is a prescription digital therapeutic application that uses the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), lifestyle modification, and other proven psychosocial treatment elements to help people with Overactive Bladder.

Besides these, we continued to work on projects across multiple industries, covering healthtech projects with IoT components, fintech projects, beauty projects, and many more. 

Hosting events at our Den 🏡

During Q4, we opened our doors for two open events:

• Hacktoberfest '22, powered by Wolfpack Digital. 🕸 Hacktoberfest is an annual initiative that encourages developers all around the world to support and contribute to their favorite open-source projects. Developers from Cluj-Napoca, along with some of our wolves, gathered at our office and worked on a set of open-source shell, Ruby & Rails scripts with the purpose of benchmarking your machine and comparing it to the rest.

• Lean Coffee. ☕️ Lean Coffee is an informal meeting where participants set the agenda as they go. Topics may differ from lean/agile development, project management, leadership, and business.

Our recurring events we have company-wide returned to face-to-face events, as we mentioned in the beginning, and also ensured a hybrid setup as well so everyone can join.

Superheroes Halloween 🦸🦹

Halloween 🎃 is one of our favorite traditions, and for 2022 we decided to make it a themed edition. Everyone dressed as superheroes for our traditional Spooky Standup and enjoyed a fun day at the office. 
We even had a Costume Contest 🏆 where we awarded the best of the best!

Entering the festive season 🎄🎁 

December was all about festive activities! 🤩 

We decorated our office Christmas tree in early December, accompanied by mulled wine and carols in the background. 🎵

We always keep in mind those less fortunate, and we are aware that the holiday season can be quite challenging for them. We made it our goal to bring some moments of happiness to children from two foster homes from Cluj-Napoca, “Casuta Bucuriei” & “Casa Grigorescu”, with some special gifts offered by our team. 🎁

We also prepared a space in our office where everyone could donate their old garments to be put to better use by others, and we donated them to disadvantaged families in our area. This action was also one centered around sustainability, especially since the festive season comes with lots of shopping and waste generation.

Christmas Dinner is a tradition for us, and we celebrate it uniquely every year! 

L'Alchimiste was our chosen venue for the event, a vibrant place in the heart of our home city, Cluj-Napoca. ❤️ For a Christmassy time, we enjoyed some engaging activities between the delicious meals, and our favorite one was receiving gifts from the Wolf-Santa. 🐺🧑‍🎄The rest of the night was spent on the dancefloor as the wolves really do know how to party. 💃🕺

That's right! A lot of our inspiration comes from our beautiful community, and we never miss a chance to attend or speak at events. 👇

• HIVE Innovation - Gina was a juror in the Global Startup Cities eHealth Program. 
• Global DevSlam at Dubai World Trade Center - Gina & Adi were present at the event to award the winning teams from 2 hackathons: Metaverse Masters & FutureHack. Adi was also a mentor at the event, and Wolfpack Digital rewarded the team with the most impactful solution and the team with the best use of new technologies with a Product Discovery and Design Workshop. 🎖
• Women in Tech Cluj & TUC-N meetup - Gina moderated the panel on "Growth Mindset".
• CSInnoHub meeting - Gina & Cristi (our Head of UX/UI Design) participated at the meeting organized by Babes-Bolyai University.
• IT Days - Wolfpack Digital was a Bronze sponsor for the 2022 edition. Two of our colleagues had the opportunity to take the stage: Gina, our CEO, as a speaker in a panel moderated by Mike Butcher from TechCrunch, and Dan Ilies, our Head of Mobile Development, who gave a presentation on a great topic: “Crossroads for mobile apps: Imperative and Declarative UI.”

• Student Entrepreneurial Society from TUC-N - where Gina was a juror on Demo Day & held a workshop for the participants on Team and Time Management.
• InnovationLabs 10th Anniversary Gala - Victor & Andi represented Wolfpack Digital, as we have been keen supporters of the program for the past few years.

• CSInno Hack - Cristi, our Head of UX/UI Design, was a mentor and a juror for the teams.
• Women in Tech Cluj - Christmas Networking & Fundraising Session- Gina moderated the meetup.
• How to Startup - an event organized by BEST Cluj-Napoca, where Adi, our CTO, participated as a speaker.
