Here we are — at the end of the beginning of 2022. The first quarter always feels magical and full of new beginnings. A new year starts, together with new projects and (realistic) resolutions, as we set new goals.
There's a general "Let's do it!" energy at the office as we end Q1 💪, with many new web and mobile projects in the fintech, health tech, transportation, education, and beauty spaces. Let's start with some big news, shall we?
The Wolf of Pearse Street 🇮🇪
Ireland has had a special place in our hearts for a long time, so we decided to have a special place in Ireland too — our second Wolf Den, in the middle of beautiful Dublin! We got our own space at Huckletree Dublin, whose commitment to creating an environment where creativity thrives immediately caught our attention. The iconic Academy building on Pearse Street hosts amazing companies we truly admire.

We've joined the vibrant Irish tech community after falling in love with its culture and approach to innovation. Working with our Irish partners has been a blast, and we can't wait to build tech that changes the world together with Irish pioneers. 💡
General Atmosphere 🏡
2022 is extra special, as the anti-Covid restrictions in Romania were lifted in early March (we still do our utmost to keep everyone safe, and people choose where they feel most comfortable working). It feels like life is slowly getting back to a "new normal" after over two years of the pandemic.
However, the war in Ukraine has also left a mark on the wolves. Our thoughts are with our neighboring country, which we support by offering our availability for the software development of platforms for refugees. We believe every small gesture counts, so we turned our traditional "Yellow Tuesday" into "Yellow-Blue Tuesday."

Back to the atmosphere in Cluj, one thing is clear: more and more offline events are popping up around us and at our den. It's not hard to get people together when you have a nice backyard and beautiful weather! On the topic of events, let's talk about the big one… 🥁
Wolfpack Digital Turned 7! 🥳
For seven years we've been on a quest to create powerful web and mobile apps, start to end! It's been an amazing journey filled with surprises and achievements. We're ecstatic to have reached this milestone and are working hard for the next ones. 🏆 This year's celebration was held online, but that didn't stop us from partying — we sent everyone a special anniversary goodie bag and hopped into a company-wide celebration meetup.

It was a touching moment, especially with the beautiful message from Gina, our CEO. An excerpt: "On our 7th anniversary, I would like to thank you deeply for all your hard work, support, and dedication, and for being the most colorful, fun, and creative team one can wish for!"
But the company anniversary wasn't the only celebration this quarter. The 8th of March is International Women's Day. Besides a gift bag and the traditional Romanian Mărțișor, the wolfettes celebrated with a Ladies Night In. You can read all about it, and our views on gender equality, in our article on celebrating women at Wolfpack Digital! 🥂
Paying It Forward in the Community 💬
We've always loved being involved in events — hackathons, conventions, or any venue to share knowledge and maybe a joke or two. This quarter we participated in:
- European Startup Universe Romania — a six-week accelerator by the Romanian Tech Startups Association helping Romanian visionaries build their dream products. Gina participated as an expert.
- Innovation Labs 2022 — this well-loved pre-accelerator empowers participants to develop proof-of-concept solutions with top mentors. Gina joined as both mentor and jury.
- #ConstruimViitor — the first event in the "Idei cu Spor" series, providing career advice to young students and professionals. Gina was a speaker.
- Startup an Engineer — a program by the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca preparing students for professional life. We sponsored it as an important cause.
As in previous years, we continued our partnerships with Code for Romania and the Romanian Fencing Federation. 🤺
Read All About It 📰
We were featured in two exciting publications this quarter. In late January, Gina gave an interview to TechCrunch about how non-technical founders can collaborate with software developers — covering idea validation, budget setting, scope creep, and delivery time.
The next article ran in the Irish Times in March. It's not just an announcement about the Dublin office; the interview also covers entrepreneurship for women and the curious similarities between Dublin and Cluj-Napoca HQ. You can check out the article here.
On to the Next Adventure 🐺🚀
And that's a wrap on the wrap-up. We hope these three months have been amazing for you and that even greater things are on the horizon. Stay safe, and if you'd like to see what we're up to as it happens, follow us on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter. 🙌
