We've already entered a new and colorful quarter, but we can't pass up the chance to reminisce about the summer days and the quarter that just ended. Q3 of 2022 was engaging: we had exciting projects to work on and some special, long-awaited events with the Pack. Let's dive in. 🤿
Projects We Worked On ⌨️
Our mission to develop powerful web and mobile apps connects with everything we do at Wolfpack Digital. In the 3rd quarter, we continued to develop and extend our portfolio across many industries:
- Health tech projects with IoT components, focused on diagnosis and health condition management.
- Projects in the transportation sector to improve journey experiences.
- Fintech projects providing banking solutions and investment management tools.
- Beauty projects recommending personalized skincare products based on skin analysis.
A couple of examples: Everon is a Swiss wealth management app that believes in democratizing private banking by offering access to outstanding investment opportunities geared to each person's needs. No7 Pro Derm Scan is a skin-scanning iOS app that uses the latest IoT technology to offer tailored skincare product recommendations.
Highlights of the Quarter ✨
Our Summer Party, this year entitled Wolfunk Garden Party, was a blast of colors and music. We found the perfect location in a huge garden venue just outside Cluj-Napoca, dressed in our brand colors, and enjoyed food, drinks, and fun activities together. 🎉
Summer Internship & Wolf Cubs ☀️
In July, we started our Summer Internship in Mobile Development and Quality Assurance. With the help of our mentors, interns learned to code for iOS and Android and to test web and mobile apps, while getting a feel for life in a tech company. After the internship, we welcomed part of the cohort as Wolf Cubs: 4 Mobile Developers and 3 QA Specialists. ✨
Summer Olympics ⛹️
A summer this beautiful had to end with a bang. On the last Friday of August, we held our Summer Olympics — a sporty day that's become a tradition. We gathered in our backyard for an aerobics session, a basketball championship, a table tennis tournament, and a fun volleyball game, closing with a nostalgic relay race. 🏃
Caring for the Environment 🪴
As wolves, the environment is our home, so we must take care of it. In Q3, we cleaned up the litter on the banks of the Someș river. With the help of the City Hall of Cluj-Napoca and the Brantner Vereș Company, who provided the logistics, we made the Someș river cleaner.
In Between Tech & Celebrations 🎉
September started with a celebration — Wolfpack Digital QA's Day. Our QAs always ensure the high quality of every web and mobile app we work on while keeping the bugs away. Thank you! We continued the month by organizing a meetup for mobile developers. Dan and Roxana, two of our most passionate mobile developers, presented "Building Your Mobile App's UI for 2023," followed by snacks, drinks, and techy conversations.
Community 🤝
You already know we love being involved in the community. Here's what we did last quarter:
- United Europe: Widening R&I cooperation in times of war — Gina, our CEO, shared her thoughts in Brussels on bridging Europe's R&I gap.
- Innovation Labs Semifinals & Finals — Gina was a juror at the national level, with Wolfpack Digital a local partner for years.
- Define School — Victor, our Head of Web Development, presented for tech startup enthusiasts.
- Women in Tech Cluj — Alexandra, our Product Owner, spoke on the "Growth Mindset" panel to almost 100 attendees.
- The Woman Conference — Gina spoke to 400+ attendees about the power of innovation, communities, and diversity.
Accolades 🫶
A huge achievement was being named one of the top 50 Romanian companies by the Bucharest Stock Exchange in the "Made in Romania" program, from 350 initially selected. It was an honor to share the list with companies we deeply respect, such as 5 to go, Curtea Veche Publishing, and dotLumen.
We thank Gabriel, our Business Development Manager, for representing us at the gala in Bucharest, and our wolves for the hard work that makes Wolfpack Digital what it is. Wolfpack Digital was also recognized by The Manifest as one of Romania's Most Reviewed App Development Companies for 2022.
