Q3/2022 Wrap-up: Summertime Wolfness

We’ve already entered a new and colorful 🍂 quarter, but we can't pass on an opportunity to reminisce about the summer days and the quarter that has just ended. 😌

Q3 of 2022 was an engaging one: we had exciting projects to work on and also some special & awaited events with the Pack.

Projects we worked on  ⌨️

Our mission to develop Powerful Web & Mobile Apps, while working and playing in line with our core values, connects with everything we do at Wolfpack Digital. 🐺

In the 3rd quarter, we continued to develop and extend our portfolio across many industries by working on:

• Healthtech projects with IoT components, focused on diagnosis and health condition management;
• Projects in the transportation sector to improve journey experiences;
• Fintech projects providing banking solutions and investment management tools to users; 
• Beauty projects recommending personalized skincare products based on skin analysis.

Everon is a Swiss wealth management app that truly believes in democratizing private banking by offering access to outstanding investment opportunities that are geared to every person's needs.

No 7 Pro Derm Scan is a skin-scanning iOS app that incorporates the latest IoT technology and offers tailored skincare product recommendations based on the results of its advanced analysis.

Highlights of the quarter ✨

Our Summer Party, which this year was entitled "Wolfunk Garden Party", was a blast (literally) of colors and music. 🕺💃

And we found the perfect location for our party in a huge garden venue just outside Cluj-Napoca. We decided on the dress code - which meant we dressed in our lovely brand colors - made sure we had enough food & beverages to keep the hunger and thirst away, planned some fun activities to enjoy together, and started the party. 🪩🎉

Summer Internship & Wolf Cubs ☀️

In July, we started our Summer Internship on: Mobile Development 📱 & Quality Assurance 🔍.

With the help of our mentors, the interns learned how to code for iOS & Android, or how to test both web and mobile apps so as to assure quality in the app development process, while they also got to see how it is to work in a tech company, they met the wolves 🐺, and they had the chance to see how we work and have fun as a Pack at our Den. 

After the internship, we welcomed a part of the interns as our Wolf Cubs: 4 as Mobile Developers and 3 as QA Specialists. We're thrilled to grow and enjoy a beautiful journey together. ✨

Summer Olympics ⛹️

A summer so beautiful and engaging had to end with a bang. 💥
On the last Friday of August, we had our Summer Olympics event, which is a sporty day for us, and already a tradition.

We gathered in our backyard and had an Aerobic session, a Basketball championship, a Table Tennis Tournament, and even split into two teams for a fun volleyball game. 

A lovely surprise that reminded us of our childhoods was a relay race at the end of the day. 🏃

Caring for the environment 🪴

As wolves, the environment is our home, and so we must take care of it.
Activities promoting sustainability are something we often do; they're a great way to spend time together and bond as a team. 💫

In Q3, we put our minds to cleaning up the litter on the banks of the Somes river. 

With the help of the City Hall of Cluj-Napoca & the Brantner Veres Company, who helped us organize this activity and provided us with the necessary logistics, we made the Somes river cleaner. 

In between tech & celebrations 🎉

September started with a celebration - Wolfpack Digital QA's Day. 🔎🔍

Not only do our QAs always ensure the high quality 📈 of every web & mobile app we work on, but they also do magic tricks that keep the bugs away. 🐞

We continued the month by connecting to our community through tech knowledge, by organizing a meetup for mobile developers. We missed welcoming people to our Den so much! 🏡

Dan & Roxana, two of our most passionate mobile developers, held a presentation about "Building Your Mobile App's UI for 2023". After that, we enjoyed some 🫒 snacks, 🥂 beverages, and techy conversations.

Let's see what we did and where we went during the past quarter: 

• United Europe: Widening R&I cooperation in times of war - Gina, our CEO, shared her thoughts in Brussels in the panel "Bridging Europe's R&I gap: What will be the keys to success beyond the conflict?";
• Innovation Labs Semifinals & Finals -  Gina was a juror at the national level, with Wolfpack Digital having been a local partner for the past few years;
• Define School - Victor, our Head of Web Development, held a presentation for tech startups enthusiasts;
• Women in Tech Cluj - Alexandra, our Product Owner, was a speaker in the panel called "Growth Mindset”, organized with the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, and shared her view with almost 100 attendees;
• The Woman Conference - Gina was a speaker at this 400+ attendees conference focused on female leadership, and she spoke about the power of innovation, communities, and diversity.

Accolades 🫶

A huge achievement for us was to be one of the top 50 Romanian companies named by the Bucharest Stock Exchange in the  "Made in Romania" program, from a total of 350 companies initially selected. 🙌 It was an honor to be on the same list as companies we deeply respect, such as 5 to go, Curtea Veche Publishing, or dotLumen - Empowering the Blind. 👏

We want to thank Gabriel, our Business Development Manager, for representing us at the gala in Bucharest and our wolves for the hard work and dedication that made Wolfpack Digital the wonderful company it is today. ❤️

Wolfpack Digital also got recognized by The Manifest as one of Romania's Most Reviewed App Development Companies for 2022.
