From a Summer Internship to a Full-Time Job

Six months have passed since the Quality Assurance Summer Internship ended, and now I am more than ready to share my experience with you, my dear reader 📖.

Everything is still vivid, colorful, and warm in my mind even though the summer has passed and winter ❄️ is here to stay for a while. So, get comfy, grab your hot drink ☕, and let’s embark ⛵on this 6-week-full-time internship journey together, shall we?

For a better overview, I need to take you back to the beginning of 2022, when on a similar day as this one, I decided that I wanted to change my career path and do something completely different.

But little did I know that this decision would be so revolutionary for my future.

My motivation was up 💪🏻, and the path I wanted to take was clear 👣, so I started doing research 📚, taking online courses👩🏻‍💻, and networking with people working in a similar industry to gain new perspectives.

My plan was going well, and I only had 2 decisions to make: 

• finding a company that shares the same values and beliefs as mine; 💫
• applying for a job or an internship;

One of my friends showed me Wolfpack Digital's website, and I was amazed 🤩 to hear about their great culture and people. While diving 🤿 into their world, I was more and more convinced that I could fit beautifully there.

The selection process was smooth and great news: on the 11th of July, I was welcomed 👋🏽 into Wolfpack Digital’s Quality Assurance Internship, and the journey began.

When the email popped into my inbox, my excitement was through the roof 🏠. I was never so excited until then about something work-related, and I knew that this was the place where I wanted to be ❤️.

The first day is always full of excitement and anxiety, and it came with a lot of information to process, but everything was beyond organized and well-prepared. 

Two internship programs were running at the same time: Quality Assurance and Mobile Development, and the den increased by 11 new interns. 👩🏻‍💻👨🏻‍💻

Even from day one, we were introduced to some teaching methods 👨🏻‍🏫  that were more interactive and playful than traditional and rigid. The way the program was structured made us appreciate it even more and learn even faster. Everything was as I imagined! ⭐

Who would have thought that 11 interns would become such good friends at the end of the program? We definitely blame it on the Pack and their awesome culture and great way of interacting.

The party  🪩

There was something that we knew for sure, the Pack knew how to work and definitely knew how to party!  The most awaited event among the wolves had arrived: “The annual Summer Party” and guess what, we were also invited. 🎉

Can you guess the theme of the Summer Party? 

It was all about mixing the colors 🎨 and playing with them throughout the outfits, but this was not all, they wanted to spice things up a bit, and every wolf had to wear at least one item colored in Wolfpack Digital’s colors.

Everything at the party was flawless; we had a great outdoor location, a well-thought-out theme, and the dress code that went hand in hand with the theme, the activities, the music, and the food & beverages, but most importantly, the people who made all of this possible.
Oh, these memories that I will always cherish! 🦊

The party was such a great way to relax and connect with the Pack 🐺 through dancing and chatting.

From that moment on, the last three weeks flew by so quickly. We started working independently and applied the information received from our mentors. 

The relationship with the mentors and colleagues was based on constant communication and collaboration. We learned a lot from each other, we got answers to every question and most importantly, the mentors have provided the right framework for us to learn and develop skills that can help us build a career in the testing world.
